Yamagen Japanese Restaurant was established in 1987 in Park Royal Hotel. We reopened the business in 2014 after the earthquake.

Amazing food and fantastic experience
Loved the food, attentive and friendly staff. Great place to visit for a fun dining experience sitting at the teppanyaki grill, ask to be seated there if you want to watch up close your food being prepared and the skills of the teppanyaki chef.

Rude staff clearly didn't want us there. Never again.

disappointing
what you pay vs the amount of food you receive isnt worth it. in my opinion e.g ramen noodle only have a 3 thinly slice pork and the amount of noodle is similar to your typical 2 minutes instance noodle and a sprinkle of green onion. Disappointed to say the least, same with the chicken cutlet. However the amount of food you get for the set tepayaki is worth the 50% discount.

Very authentic Japanese food
My husband I had the most amazing Japanese food at Yamagen. Very authentic and we enjoyed every single dishes we had there. Definitely recommend to visit Yamagen. Our waiter was very friendly and his service was fantastic.
