Carrick Winery Tour & Tasting

Learn all about our vineyard and wines by joining us for a memorable guided tour of the Carrick vineyard, winery and barrel cellar, followed by a wine tasting. Choose up to 4 wines to taste. Our range includes Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Rosé and of course Pinot Noir. We even have a range of sulphur-free “natural” wines.

After the tasting tour, feel free to soak in the views a bit more with a glass of your favourite Carrick wine and perhaps a delicious pizza from our pizza trailer (at your own cost).

The outdoor pizza trailer is open daily from 10am – 5pm, with long evenings on Fridays and Saturdays – 8pm.

The Carrick Restaurant offers a fine-dining lunch service with a seasonal à la carte menu. Reservations highly recommended.

The Location

The most popular way is to arrive by bicycle or car. Carrick is located at 247 Cairnmuir Road, Bannockburn. The Lake Dunstan Bike Trail comes directly through the winery & restaurant grounds. If you’re cycling from Cromwell Heritage Precinct you’ll get to Carrick after 7km which takes between 45-60 minutes, it’s 7km.

About Carrick

First planted in 1994, Carrick is a highly regarded producer of fine wine in Central Otago, crafting small production organically certified, estate-grown wines from its iconic 24 ha Bannockburn site. Twice awarded “Sustainable Vineyard of the Year” at the Organic Wine Awards, a detailed hands-on approach is taken in the vineyard to grow the highest quality fruit possible which allows for minimal intervention in the winery. Handpicked, wild-fermented, a true expression of time & place.
