Experience for yourself the grandeur and stunning beauty of a place where mountains plunge steeply into a deep fiord teeming with rare wildlife.
You'll soon see why Milford Sound is one of the world's greatest destinations as you take in the scale of this natural wonder from both the air and sea.
The flight from Queenstown over the Southern Alps opens up endless panoramic views of a landscape forged by the greatest forces of nature, left unchanged by man.
Take it all in; rugged ridge-lines, snow-capped peaks, waterfalls cascading to lush valley floors covered with ancient forests, and divided by crystal clear streams.
On arrival in Milford Sound you will set off onboard a comfortable cruise vessel to begin an up-close exploration of the fiord from sea level.
Jagged cliffs, and hanging rainforest rises sharply up to snowy peaks hundreds of meters above you.
Expect to see seals and occasionally dolphins and penguins as you pass close to magnificent waterfalls and sheer granite cliffs, while your skipper provides you with a detailed and entertaining commentary of the region and its history.

Hi Claude, Thanks for your review. I am very sorry that your flight was postponed 4 times and cancelled at the end due weather. We totally understand you were hugely disappointed that you couldn't fly to Milford Sound. However the safety is the first priority for us, and unfortunately we cannot fly if the weather is not good enough to operate safely. Hope you still had a nice time with your family in Queenstown. Regards, Lily
Our flight was delayed from 10:30 to 14:30 due to bad weather, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. By the time we reached Milford Sound, the afternoon sunlight cast a golden glow over the fjord, adding a natural HDR-like effect to the scenery. We practically had the place to ourselves! We spotted a couple of dusky dolphins, got drenched under a waterfall, and marveled at the vibrant play of light and shadow across the landscape. The flight turbulence, though? Let’s just say my stomach didn’t quite appreciate that part!
I was looking forward and nervous about the journey because it wasn't cheap and it was weather dependent. The views from the air were breathtaking and I took so many amazing photos. The staff was very friendly and the pilot Jason was very experienced. The arrangements along the way from flight to cruise ship went very smoothly. The tour guide for the cruise was also very humorous. Unfortunately it didn't rain or I would have seen the waterfall miracle. But I got to see the beautiful fjord scenery and the cute seals. If this is a rare visit for you, do try it. It's not cheap, but the experience is well worth it and you won't regret it.
Bucket list.Worth every cent. Would do again in a heartbeat.
