Emma said... The space is divine and I have always appreciated the décor and fit out which is elegant, cozy and inviting. Our English waiter was amazing and very attentive without fussing. We appreciated the window table with exceptional views. The food however was at best beige and at worst uninspired. The entrée of eggplant tempura was heavy and super sweet. Nothing about it resembled tempura having been deep fried to within an inch of its life. The ceviche was bland and without a taste profile resembling a watered down supermarket guac dip. The mains were cooked well but again uninspired. My salmon was cooked perfectly but the sauce was tepid and insipid. My dining companion's chicken was again well cooked but sat in a pool of oil under the greens. The wine list was great as was the whisky coffee. The front of house were polite and detached. When thinking of where to book, as locals, you want to get excited at the prospect of either something you have tried and loved or a new culinary experience. I just wish the food was as delightful as the décor.
