Experience the natural beauty and tranquillity of this nature park at your own pace!

Great fun for the whole family to enjoy with two trails to explore and learn about the cultural significance of this taonga (treasure) to the people of Ngāti Rangiwewehi. Hamurana Springs was originally a tribal settlement named Te Kaikaitahuna with a history dating back to the mid 1300's.

Take your time to stroll both trails and stop for a picnic or complete a 45 minute to 1 hour round trip.

The onsite golf club has a selection of food and drinks available for purchase or feel free to bring along a picnic.

  • Please Note: This experience is weather dependant we reserve the right to close due to poor weather or high winds for health and safety, Please ensure you check date and time. We can not change dates onsite at Hamurana Springs or over the phone times can be changed at the discretion of Hamurana Springs Staff on the day but must be notified by phone or email. If we have to close due to health and safety i,e weather or high winds we will do our best to make contact with you. Please ensure you have given a valid phone number and email.

    If the operator cancels your booking due to weather conditions, refunds will be available.

    If the customer cancels their booking due to weather conditions, refunds will not be available.

    Opening Hours:

    Winter Hours: early April - late Sept

    Tues to Sun 9am to 4pm Last Entry 3pm

    Summer Hours: late Sept - early April.

    Mon to Sun 9am to 6pm Last entry 5pm

    Duration:

    The main trail can be completed in 45 minutes, however, we suggest allowing at least 1 hour to enjoy the wildlife and discover all cultural sites. ( NO DOGS ) we are a wildlife refuge. Unless the dog is a registered service dog. Certification is required to be presented to Hamurana Springs Staff and the dog MUST remain on leash AT ALL TIMES.

    Please note that during high winds we will close for health and safety precautions due to the risk of falling branches in the forest.

    The trails at Hamurana Springs are suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

    You are responsible for your personal safety while visiting Hamurana Springs. Please obey signage and the instructions of Hamurana Springs staff. Children must always be supervised.

  • Age: Infants aged 0-4 years go FREE

    NO DOGS we are a wildlife refuge.
